The Scottsdale Police Department is accepting applications for Police Officer (Waiver, Lateral, Recruit) position from Saturday, March 17, 2012 through Friday, March 30, 2012 at 5 p.m. (AZ Time).

Scottsdale Officer Dave Pubins tells Scottsdale Arizona News that Scottsdale PD currently has 3 vacancies and have some candidates in the background process. The May 5th test will be used to fill future vacancies.

Orientation is on Saturday, 3/17/12 at 8 a.m. This Orientation is open to anyone who might be interested in applying for a police officer job.

Police Officer Test:
The next police officer test is scheduled for Saturday, May 5, 2012 (by invitation only).

Scottsdale PD's Physical Performance Requirements are:

• Push Ups (1 minute): 25
• Sit Ups (1 minute): 29
• 1.5 Mile Run (Min/Sec): 14:30
